Presentation of CREMA paper at the ZEUS Workshop 2017
In February, Christoph Hochreiner has presented the research paper "VISP Testbed - A Toolkit for Modeling and Evaluating Resource Provisioning Algorithms for Stream Processing Applications" at the 9th ZEUS Workshop. This presentation introduced the VISP Testbed, which is designed to evaluate and benchmark resource provisioning algorithms in a reproducible manner. Such resource provisioning algorithms are required to efficiently deal with the growing amount of data, originating from manufacturing machines in Industry 4.0 scenarios. The presentation triggered an extensive discussion on how to establish a common standard for evaluation resource provisioning algorithms and triggered future cooperations to establish such standards based on sensor data from the manufacturing domain to foster the growth of the Industry 4.0 and triggered future cooperations to establish such a standard.
