Stemming from research conducted within the CREMA project, a paper on moderated resource elasticity for stream processing applications will be presented at the International Workshop on Autonomic Solutions for Parallel and Distributed Data Stream Processing (Auto-DaSP 2017). In August 2017, the workshop will be hald at the 23rd International European Conference on Parallel and Distributed Computing (Euro-Par 2017), in Santiago de Compostela, Spain. The authors from TU Wien propose an approach for moderating the scaling behavior of stream processing applications by reducing the number of scaling operations using non-linear filtering techniques from the field of signal processing.
