Runtime Verification for Business Processes Utilizing the Bitcoin Blockchain has been accepted for publication
The paper Runtime Verification for Business Processes Utilizing the Bitcoin Blockchain has been accepted for publication in the high-tier journal Future Generation Computer Systems. Within the paper, the authors Christoph Prybila, Stefan Schulte, Christoph Hochreiner, and Ingo Weber present an approach on how to use the Bitcoin blockchain in order to track and verify partner interactions (i.e., handovers) in a business process. Especially, the presented approach can be used in decentralized settings and process choreographies, where no party has full control or knowledge during process runtime. Among other application areas, this can be applied within manufacturing processes and supply chain processes in order to determine who has been involved in the enactment of a real-world business process.
With an Impact Factor of 3.997, Future Generation Computer Systems is the highest ranked journal in the field of cloud computing according to SCImago Journal Rank.
