PeerJ Computer Science journal publication

The paper "Cost-efficient enactment of stream processing topologies" has been accepted for publication by the PeerJ Computer Science journal. Within the paper, the authors Christoph Hochreiner, Michael Vögler, Stefan Schulte and Schahram Dustdar present a novel elastic approach on how to improve the resource provisioning for stream processing topologies under varying load. Such elastic resource provisioning approaches are essential to minimize the operational cost for processing high volumes of data in volatile environments, where the orchestration of manufacturing assets can be updated on-demand at any point in time.
